About Program

It is becoming increasingly difficult to adapt to the developing and changing society, to make the most suitable choices among unlimited options and to make realistic decisions. In difficult life, individuals need to get psychological help in order to get to know themselves better, to solve their problems and to use their capacities at the highest level. The professions that provide these aids are becoming more and more important, and guidance and psychological counseling are among these areas.
Students are admitted to the Guidance and Psychological Counseling Undergraduate Program according to their TM-3 scores. The education period is four years and there is an obligation to attend classes.
The language of instruction in our department, which started to provide education in the 2014- 2015 academic year, is Turkish. Our students take courses from various fields such as psychology, sociology and educational sciences in the first two years of their undergraduate education. In the third and fourth years, the program includes field-specific courses such as psychological counseling principles and techniques, vocational guidance and counseling practices, individual and group counseling practices, and psychological counseling theories.
