About Program
Interior Architecture creates originality by evaluating comfort, ergonomic, economic, physical, psychological, social characteristics of users, scientific and artistic principles with a holistic approach in different interior spaces (e.g. residential, office, historical and commercial buildings) and semi-open spaces (e.g. garden). It is a professional discipline that designs spaces.
In an other saying;
Interior Architecture is a professional discipline that designs and organizes a space functionally and aesthetically on the basis of user demands and spatial characteristics.
In this context, Interior Architecture makes an important contribution to increasing the quality of life of individuals and to the artistic and cultural development of the society.
The main vision of Cyprus Science University, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Department of Interior Architecture;
To train qualified interior architects who can use critical, creative, investigative, innovative, contemporary and modern technologies within the framework of international standards and ethical values, have strong foreign language skills, have high interdisciplinary working and artistic skills, and are sensitive to social and environmental problems.
The mission of the Department is;
It aims to be a department that supports national and international cooperation within the framework of artistic and scientific activities, can transform original ideas into design and artistic practice, and provides quality education with theoretical knowledge and modern technologies.
The language of instruction of the Interior Architecture Undergraduate Program is English.
Undergraduate Program consists of 4 years and 8 terms.
Education Teaching Methods
The Education and Training System of the Department of Architecture follows a holistic approach in spatial design by using science, art and technology.
It also aims to act as a bridge between interior space (interior architecture) and exterior space (landscape architecture) by following an interdisciplinary approach.
Design studios are at the center of the education program.
The design studios, which started in the first year, continue for four years.
The main purpose of design studios;
It aims to strengthen the educational process of students by developing their own unique projects, taking part in teamwork, and collaborating with other Departments of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (eg Interior Architecture, Urban Design and Landscape Architecture).
Academic Advancement Opportunities
Graduates of the Department of Architecture can aim for a future in the academic context by choosing Postgraduate Programs (Master’s and Doctorate).
Career Opportunities
Graduates of the Department of Architecture can work in the public sector, in the private sector (eg architectural offices) in Turkey and abroad, or they can establish their own workplaces and participate in construction and similar sectors with project studies.
In addition, they can find opportunities for new business opportunities by participating in national and international design projects.
